Financial Aid

All college financial aid begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Application is open from January to June.  It is recommended that you begin the application as soon as possible.  You will need your income tax information and you may begin your application using your estimated return.

College Scholarships

Parents are asked to provide the Senior counselor with a valid email address.  When the counselor receives information and/or application forms for various scholarships they are emailed to the parents. is a free website that contains information about scholarships that are available as well as how to apply for them.

 Horatio Alger Association Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Association Scholarship is now open to high school seniors.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a full-time high school senior progressing toward graduation in the spring of 2016
  • Must pursue and complete a bachelor's degree in an accredited in an institution in the United States
  • Demonstrte critical financial need ( $55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Maintain a minimum GPA pf 2.0
  • Be a citizen of the United States

Application procedures

  • Applications are online at
  • One support Form completed online by an adult over the age of 21 who is not related to the applicant.
  • Online Certification Form. A login will be emailed to the applicant's counselor
  • Submit a high school transcript
  • Income verification.
  • No emails or faxes will be accepted
